L’Embellie – La Tremblade
Since the installation of the observation station in November 2025, many citizens have contributed to a better knowledge of the evolution of the coastline. Through this page, you can:
Localisation
The station is located at the Embellie beach, next to the bike path. It has a north-east orientation.
Characteristics
The station faces the exit of Maumusson inlet, where the combined action of wavesand tidal current lead to significant coastal changes.
Evolution
Alternating periods of erosion and accretion phases, with possible retreat or advance of more than 25 m.
Management method
Natural processes accompanying, including dune protection actions.
